As is known from classical physics, there are only two types of energy, we call them "negative" and "positive". The yin-yang principle is much broader, it is any dualism: lack and excess, softness and hardness, front and back, right and left, woman and man, moon and sun. Moreover, yin does not exist without yang and vice versa, the limit of yin gives rise to yang and vice versa. A simple example: at noon, at the end of the day, the beginning of the night begins.
According to Chinese natural philosophy, the primordial energy (yuan-qi), coming into motion, gives rise to yang, i.e. activity, and when calming down, gives birth to yin, i.e. passivity; or: dynamics and statics.
In the Feng Shui system, dwellings are divided into Yin and Yang. Yin people are graves, they are given primary attention, since the past influences the future. Yansky - dwellings of living people. The task of the Feng Shui master is to create yin-yang harmony, i.e. their desired ratio, depending on the purpose of the room. There is a lot of yin where there is poor lighting, where everything is cluttered with little-needed dead things, dark in color, always closed, rooms, each locked away from a number of residents, where chronic patients, the elderly, alcoholics and drug addicts live. A person's energy is weakened here. Excessively Yang premises: constantly lit or heated, painted with bright red or yellow, located next to a high-voltage line, a transformer box, a large factory. With an excess of yin, yang factors are added: lighting, bright colors, etc. Water will help get rid of the excess yang: a fountain, a blue door color on both sides (water color) and generally cold colors, paintings depicting water, reducing noise, illumination, creating a lawn , lawns in the garden, painting the fence, gates in black (yin) color; bright sunlight is transformed by hanging a faceted crystal. Harmonizing music should be replaced by silence and vice versa - this is how the yin-yang ratio is also regulated. Or: a dark drapery is contrasted with a bouquet of bright flowers.
In living quarters, yang should prevail (but without excess), especially where children live (an excess of yang will suppress them). Resting areas should have more yin, but similarly, yin should not suppress yang. Retail space requires yang, activity, so you need red, bright lighting, invigorating but not destructive music, indoor flowers will add life. Energy should not stagnate here. In general, you need to feel it: where and when to add or subtract Yin or Yang.
